Top Activities & Attractions Near Windsor at Westside

Windsor at Westside is located close to some of the best activities Central Florida has to offer. Windsor at Westside is one of the area’s newest resort communities, featuring a lake with a pier, a clubhouse, a resort-style pool complete with a water slide, and lazy river. There is also a tiki bar that serves food poolside, a fitness center, volleyball courts, and a video arcade. If you want to check out activities outside the resort there are some nearby.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios, located about 20 minutes from Windsor at Westside, showcases one of Disney’s newest attractions: Toy Story Land. The new park will “shrink” you to the size of a toy as you join Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and some of Andy’s other favorite toys as you explore his backyard. Rides include the family-friendly roller coaster Slinky Dog Dash, the spinning Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania, a 4D shooting game where you ride around in a cart and shoot at moving targets.

For fans of Star Wars, Disney’s Hollywood Studios features attractions related to the film series. Star Wars: Path of the Jedi is a short film that retells the movie saga. You can also ride Star Tours to visit popular destinations from the movie on a 3D, motion-simulated space flight.

Kilimanjaro Safaris

Kilimanjaro Safaris is a safari attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests can “visit” Africa and spend the day riding around in an open-air safari-style vehicle. The safari has over 100 acres of wild terrain and is home to giraffes, tigers, antelope, baboons, hippopotamuses, ostriches, zebras, rhinos, and many more animals. Each safari ride lasts for about 22 minutes. You can also visit the park at night to see Kilimanjaro’s nocturnal animals.

Posner Park Shopping

If you are looking for some fun indoor activities, check out the Posner Park Shopping Center. This mall, located only a few minutes from Windsor at Westside, has a wide range of shopping, including Target, JC Penny, and Michaels. There are also many restaurants and an IMAX movie theater that has gourmet snacks, drinks, and reserved seating. For your younger children, there is an indoor play area inside the mall.
