Disney’s Blizzard Beach
Disney’s one-time ski resort melted in the Florida heat and is now a watery wonderland for the whole family. If you’re looking for a more relaxed day at the waterpark, you can float down Blizzard Beach’s lazy river or layout in the sun on its white sand beaches. If you’re looking for a more thrilling day at the park, you can zip down one of Mount Gushmore’s waterslides; Summit Plummet waterslide is the world’s tallest and fastest. If you have younger children with you, there is a kids’ area for children under 48 inches tall. This kids’ park has kid-sized waterslides and a snow castle fountain.
If you get hungry or thirsty at the park, there are plenty of concession stands with burgers, wraps, salads, and cocktails. Many of the food stands also have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Blizzard Beach is the perfect way to spend a hot summer day with your whole family, as the waterpark has fun for everyone.
Highlands Reserve Golf Club
If you have a golfer in the family, they will want to spend a morning at the Highlands Reserve Golf Club. This golf course sits on one of the highest areas in Florida and offers stunning views of the Florida scenery, including old citrus groves. The course is great for all levels, as there are no water hazards and the greenery is well-kept.
