Ovation Bistro and Bar is one of our favorites, and we are so excited about the value and quality of this charming eatery, we can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Charming Atmosphere
Tucked away at the end of a cute little strip mall at 42605 US-27 in Davenport, Ovation Bistro and Bar is easy to find—especially when you use your GPS! The brick building with green awnings shading a patio area in the front is welcoming and inviting, and a larger covered patio can be found on the backside of the bistro, offering a serene place to sit in good weather. Inside, a warm and welcoming atmosphere is set off by wooden tables, chairs, and leather banquettes; a granite-topped bar offers overflow seating or a friendly place to sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine.
The Menu
When you hear the term bistro, you immediately expect a menu filled with quiches and salads, small servings, and some pretentious dishes with French names that are unpronounceable, but at Ovation Bistro, you will learn to expect something different. Large steaks that are thick and juicy, sweet ribs that will have you licking the sauce off your fingertips, and fish dishes so fresh and delicious you’d swear they were just swimming in the sea a few hours ago are some of the delights you can find here. Also offering sandwiches, salads, burgers, and a substantial kids’ menu. The atmosphere, which is both friendly and casual, ensures that no one feels uncomfortable, and a full bar offering some really tasty beverages means you should probably consider a cab or rideshare if you don’t have a designated driver!
